Media Blasting
MEDIA BLASTING
Media blasting is used to remove stain or paint from log and wood structures because blasting uses only dry media, no water is forced into the wood.
There is no Dry time, and chinking and caulking can be applied immediately afterwards. GSLHS works with crushed glass, which is environmentally-friendly and gentle on wood.
Crushed glass media, make for precise and quick work of removing both paint and new or old coatings of stains. It leaves the healthy wood underneath intact and creates a textured surface for improved stain adhesion and longevity.
The media blast will change the surface of your wood to more of a textured look, and there is a chance at getting media dust inside the home. This is normal.
